°®½´ÊÓÆµSchool of Music performances for November

The University of Louisiana at Monroe School of Music, Season of Performances, has released their performance schedule for November 11-December 3.

The season begins with the °®½´ÊÓÆµFlute Soloist Night, slated for November 11, will feature pieces by Hue, Ibert, Mozart and more. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall at ULM. November 13 the °®½´ÊÓÆµHorn Ensemble is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall. To finish off the week, the Masterworks Chorus will combine with the °®½´ÊÓÆµDepartment of Choral Activities in a production of Mozart's Solemn Vespers, and to salute our nation with Hymn to America. Performance will be held at First United Methodist Church at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.00.

The week of November 18-23 will include performances by the °®½´ÊÓÆµFlute Choir and participants in the third annual High School Flute Invitational, on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, the °®½´ÊÓÆµWind Ensemble will perform in honor of Dr. and Mrs. James Cofer. Thursday, November 21 will feature an eclectic program by the °®½´ÊÓÆµPercussion Ensemble. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the band building at ULM.

The Holiday Madrigal Feaste, November 21-23, will conclude the week with madrigals and Yuletide favorites performed by the Chamber Singers, the Monroe Consort, and the Galliard Brass, to take place in Brown Gymnasium at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. The °®½´ÊÓÆµSeason of Performances will conclude with performances by the °®½´ÊÓÆµJazz Ensembles on Tuesday, November 26 at 7:30 p.m. and Christmas at the Biedenharn, December 3 at The Biedenharn Museum and Gardens at 7:00 p.m. No admission is charged unless ticket price is specified. Performances are subject to change without notice. Everyone is invited to all performances.
