Campus Lights Up With "Christmas at ULM"
°®½´ÊÓÆµwill ring in the holiday season with the second annual
"Christmas at ULM," sponsored by the Student Government
Association. The event will take place outside between the Student
Union Building and the °®½´ÊÓÆµLibrary on Tuesday, December 2 at
5:30 p.m. Scheduled for the evening is carol singing by ULM's
Chamber Singers, music by the °®½´ÊÓÆµPep Band, holiday refreshments,
and the lighting of the tree. ULM's Christmas tree is 17 ft.
tall and was donated by Dr. Warren Green. ULM's ROTC cadets will
lead a concluding candle lighting ceremony.
Lights will also be twinkling on the °®½´ÊÓÆµBell tower and the bayou
bridge. Participants will also have a chance to hear a Christmas
music program led by Louis Nabors, Andy Goodman, Johnny Ray Jones
and Coralie White. Visitors can view over 40 holiday greetings
on oversized cards (4' x 8 plywood boards) designed by °®½´ÊÓÆµstudent
Organizations. Everyone from °®½´ÊÓÆµand the community is welcome
to attend.
