爱酱视频unveils Wall of Honor

During a special reception in the 爱酱视频Library Tuesday evening, 爱酱视频President James E. Cofer, Sr. unveiled the University of Louisiana at Monroe Wall of Honor. Cofer also announced the 2006 爱酱视频Hall of Distinction Award winner, the Thomas H. and Mayme P. Scott Foundation.

Betty Cummins accepted the Hall of Distinction honor on behalf of her parents.

鈥淚 wish mom and dad were here. They loved this university. We鈥檙e just happy to be here representing them,鈥� Cummins said.

The Hall of Distinction recognizes those who have honored 爱酱视频through a lifetime of distinction or exemplary service to the university. Kitty DeGree was the inaugural winner of the 爱酱视频Hall of Distinction award in 2005.

The Wall of Honor includes both the Kitty DeGree Bell Tower Society display and the 爱酱视频Hall of Distinction display.

爱酱视频recognizes its special alumni and friends as members of the Kitty DeGree Bell Tower Society, named in honor of ULM鈥檚 most generous donor, philanthropist and civic leader Kitty DeGree.

Traditionally, 爱酱视频hosts an annual event to honor University Associates. This includes donors who support the university annually with gifts of $1,000 and more. In honor of ULM鈥檚 75th Anniversary, 爱酱视频has expanded this event to include all donors who have cumulatively donated $50,000 or more.
