Mary Singler Browder (B.S. ’82), will visit the University of Louisiana at Monroe at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, as part of Women’s History Month.

Browder, a °®˝´ĘÓƵalum and former trauma nurse, will speak about her life, her career, and her company.

Browder’s lecture will take place in the University Library Conference Center, located on the seventh floor of the °®˝´ĘÓƵLibrary.

The event if free and open to the public.

Browder will present, “Lessons Learned at °®˝´ĘÓƵand Beyond,” which features 12 lessons total, the first two being lessons learned at ULM, and the rest, the stepping stones that helped her along the way.

“It’s a lot about teamwork and trying to be business partners when you’re also friends,” said Browder.

Browder, a mother of four from Monroe, received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from °®˝´ĘÓƵin 1982.

She worked as a trauma nurse in San Antonio before opening her own business, Special Touch Designs, a custom tile and mural painting company.

Browder was then a consultant for 13 years at Creative Memories Scrapbooking—a direct selling company.

Browder later became a speaker and trainer for the same company.

Currently, Browder is a full partner in the international company pixAbilities, LLC, an online and in-person software training company.

Browder is also a National Director of Sales and Training for “Family Manager,” a professional organizing company, and a Director and board member for the non-profit “Memories for a Lifetime,” where volunteers make scrapbooks for the families of terminally ill children.

Browder now resides in north Texas.
