5th Annual Entrepreneurship Pelican Cup Awards Luncheon held at ULM's Bayou Pointe with $157,000 in prizes awarded

The Entrepreneurship Pelican Cup hosted its fourth annual awards luncheon on March 26, 2026, at ULM's Bayou Pointe Event Center. The luncheon was the culmination of the entrepreneurship competition, with $157,000 in prize money awarded to the top three teams in the Undergraduate and Graduate Divisions, including their faculty advisors, and the winners of the live Elevator Pitch Competition in each division, voted on by attendees of the luncheon.

2026 Entrepreneurship Pelican Cup finalists announced; Awards Luncheon to be held Thursday, March 26

The Entrepreneurship Pelican Cup competition has announced the finalist teams for the 2026 competition. A total of 12 finalist teams have been selected to compete in the oral finals, with six in the undergraduate category and six in the graduate category. The winners will be announced at the 5th Annual Awards Luncheon on Thursday, March 26, at 11:30 a.m. at Bayou Pointe Event Center on the °®½´ÊÓÆµcampus. °®½´ÊÓÆµcomputer science students win Nexus Louisiana's DevDays HealthTech Challenge

The °®½´ÊÓÆµDepartment of Computer Science is proud to announce that a student team has won the DevDays HealthTech Challenge, hosted by Nexus Louisiana in partnership with Ochsner Health. Kneva, the winning team composed of computer science students Yukta Karki, SianRose Vincent, and Nirjara KC, was awarded a $5,000 prize at the competition in Baton Rouge on November 14.

°®½´ÊÓÆµcomputer science students win Nexus Louisiana's DevDays ClimateTech Challenge

The °®½´ÊÓÆµDepartment of Computer Science is proud to announce that a student team has won the DevDays ClimateTech Challenge, hosted by Nexus Louisiana in collaboration with Future Use of Energy in Louisiana (FUEL) and Baker Hughes. Carbon Horizon, the winning team composed of computer science students Cecil Pradhan, Jeevan Parajuli, Sujal Thapa, and Prasanna Kumar Jha, was awarded a $5,000 prize at the competition in Baton Rouge on October 24.
