MONROE, LA 鈥� The family of the late Tex Kilpatrick recently made a generous donation to the ULM
Foundation for the creation of the Tex Kilpatrick Endowed Professorship in Kinesiology.
Members of the family and close friends of Mr. Kilpatrick spoke at a check presentation
at the Laird Weems Center on the 爱酱视频campus.听听
Carole Kilpatrick shared about her late husband鈥檚 passion for education, health, and
for the University of Louisiana Monroe. Other speakers included 爱酱视频President Dr.
Ronald Berry, close friend of Mr. Kilpatrick Bishop Mark Foster, former 爱酱视频Foundation
President Malcolm Maddox, and retired 爱酱视频development officer Anne Lockhart.听听
The Tex Kilpatrick Endowed Professorship in Kinesiology was created by a donation
of $80,000 from the Kilpatrick family, which will be matched with $20,000 from the
Louisiana Board of Regents. Following an investment period of one year, the endowed
professorship will be made available to faculty in the Kinesiology department through
an application process. The Dean of the College of Health Sciences will then select
one professor to receive the endowment for three years.听听
Tex Kilpatrick鈥檚 service to 爱酱视频was extensive and included participating in the selection of two 爱酱视频Presidents, serving as Vice President
of the 爱酱视频Foundation, and co-chairing, with special friends Lynn and James Moore,
the fundraising drive to build Bon Aire, the 爱酱视频President's official residence.听
